When will my order arrive?

We'll get your order in the post in the next working day. Then it will arrive in the next 3-5 working days (USA) or 5-10 working days (International). 

  

 

Can I add more sauce to my current order?

Yes! – You can make another larger order and we’ll cancel the other one. Just drop us an email. We can’t actually merge orders with our site unfortunately.

 

What is the Scoville Ratings of your Sauces? 

We haven't had our sauces tested in a lab. It's not a common form of testing in Australia. I can't find a lab that will do it. The other problem is apparently if you do find a lab that does Scoville testing the results vary wildly from lab to lab. So most hot sauces just guess what their rating is based on the chillies used. We have have done the same based on our recipes:

• BBQ Sauce - Not spicy at all
• 7/10 sauce - 1,800 Scovilles
• 12/10 Shit the Bed - 35,000 Scovilles
• 16/10 Black Label - 99,000 Scovilles

The rating of Black Label is quite impressive considering we don't use any extracts in our sauces.

Which peppers do you use?

In the mild 3/10 and the regular 7/10 we use good old Birds Eye peppers. They measure 50,000 to 100,000 on the Scoville scale. They provide a nice kick and great flavour. In Shit the Bed we’ve used Birds Eye peppers and the deadly Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Chillies. We just love the taste of Scorpions and they range in heat from 1.2 million right up to 2 million on the Scoville scale! So you’ll get the burn you need.

 

Why don’t you use the hottest chillies in the world?

There are a few good reasons why I haven’t used Carolina Reapers.

Carolina Reapers don’t taste as good as Scorpion Peppers. Superior taste is always my goal with my hot sauces, not just extreme heat.

Carolina Reapers aren’t that easy to get. As they were only named the hottest chillies in the world in late 2013 they haven’t spread across the world in large quantities yet. Don’t forget I live in the most isolated capital city in the world!

I just couldn’t get enough Carolina Reapers to make enough sauce for you all. You wonderful people are drinking Shit the Bed, so it’s hard enough getting tonnes of Scorpion chillies to make the sauce. Finding enough Reapers for it would make mass production impossible. Basically we need more people growing chillies!

  

What should I use this hot sauce on?

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks! Everything is improved with the delicious flavor of Bunsters Fresh hot sauce.

Breakfast: Bacon, eggs, mushrooms, avocado

Lunch: Sandwiches, burgers, pies, salads, noodles, burritos, tacos,

Dinner: spaghetti and all Italian food, Mexican food, roasts, stir fry, meat and 3 veg, curries, chips, pizza, chilli mussels, chicken dishes.

But seriously this is the best thing to put on your eggs! Eat it on your eggs everyday and you’ll love life.

Will this hot sauce make me shit the bed?

I’d really like to say, “No don’t be silly that’s just a marketing ploy we’ve used to sell the sauce.” But I have heard of some people shitting themselves after eating hot sauce. Please proceed with caution if you do get loose bowels from chilli products. I take no responsibility for damage done to your bedding or clothing.
